Discreet Combustion 4
Borrowing technology from the high end
The major new revision of Discreet’s Combustion is replete with UI
tweaks that make the program easier to use, but what’s really
impressive is the technology it lets users harness from high-end
Discreet products. Color Warper has begun to trickle down from Flame
and Inferno in the form of the new Diamond Keyer, which allows users to
make more precise, graphical adjustments to chroma keys, and the
high-end Timewarp tool makes an appearance here as an almost alarmingly
powerful time-remapper. All this means added levels of compatibility
for users looking to hand off files to Flame artists after laying much
of the groundwork – garbage masks, rotoscoping and color-correction – at
Combustion stations.

Key Features:
- Diamond Keyer algorithm
- Keyframeable Timewarp operator
- Grids, guides and rulers
- B-splines for rotoscoping
- Constant-time Gaussian Blur filter
- Export OpenEXR file sequences
