Your next big idea could earn you $10K and some great exposure. Getty Images is sponsoring a short film contest, inviting filmmakers to submit ideas and make 60-second films.
Until November 18, Getty is accepting concept proposals and judges will select 25 to make a film no longer than 60-seconds. These contestants will be able to delve into Getty’s enormous stock footage library to bring their ideas to life. Filmmakers can also use original material but at least half of the film must comprise footage from Getty.
The films will be showcased on Getty Images Web site and at various trade shows until a winner is announced in April.
The Next Big Idea represents the evolution of Getty Images’ highly successful 2004 campaign, The Big Idea, which featured shorts from seven internationally acclaimed designers and directors whose films demonstrated new ways to conceive and execute ideas via a revolutionary digital workflow.
