Bringing Avid and the Q Systems Closer
Quantel announced new AAF offline-to-online interchange tools allowing
Avid Xpress Pro and Media Composer Adrenaline to play nicer with
Quantel’s eQ and iQ systems. The Quantel post and DI systems can now
import AAF v1.1 metadata created offline – including segment names,
effects transitions, audio splits and fades, time stretch commands and
layer data – for use in online sessions. eQ and iQ v3.5 users get the
tools free of charge, and they’ll be standard with Quantel’s new Pablo
color-grading suite. (www.quantel.com)
