Press Release

Brian Mitchell, Managing Director of Spontaneous, has announced strategic internal changes that are going to solidify the company’s strength as an industry leader in design, visual effects and animation. These changes include the shift of certain key creatives, a revamped company website and the addition of a top sales rep.
“Our efforts in every regard is intended as a continuation of the establishment of Spontaneous as a creative workshop”, says Mitchell. “We are now operating under the mantra “Design for Effect”, and I am very proud to say that we’ve achieved some tremendous accomplishments as of late. Just recently, we finished U2’s brand new music video for “Original of the Species” off their latest album, which came on the heels of 2 visual animations that we created for U2’s current world tour. We also did the 2005 AICP Show Sponsor Reel and all the artwork for the 2005 Tony Awards multi-media campaign. The talent here is limitless in their abilities, and we’re looking to build on all of our recent successes as we move into the future.”
There has been recent movement at the highest creative levels, namely the promotion of John Leamy from Design Director to Creative Director, the broadening of Lawrence Nimrichter’s current role as Director of Animation to Associate Creative Director, and the addition of Andy Milkis to the position of Director of Visual Effects. Milkis comes to Spontaneous with 10 years of effects/HD experience, most notably in the NFL redesign for CBS and the Super Bowl (for which he received an Emmy nomination), the HD show open for the comedy series Will & Grace, and the design/effects for the 2004 ESPY Awards on ESPN. Milkis did the compositing for the Woody Allen film Everyone Says I Love You and has been a lead creative at Broadway Video, Splash Design, TLI Design, and Black Logic.
In addition, Spontaneous is proud to welcome Sales Rep Jack Fahey and Producer Amy Teter to its team. Fahey will be an in-house rep for the company, striving to further broaden Spontaneous’ client base and continue to bring in creatively-driven, first class projects. Fahey comes to Spontaneous after 7 years as Head of Sales at Celsius Films. Prior, Fahey was the East Coast Rep for Crossroads Films for 4 years and Harmony Pictures for a year. Teter has been producing in the TV and film industries for the past 10 years. She has produced national campaigns for Citibank, GM, Trump Enterprises, Pfizer, Saks Fifth Avenue, just to name a few. Her broadcast history includes producing programs for HBO, MSNBC, Metro Channel, A&E, Sony Pictures Television, and The Discovery Channel.
Aside from the changes in personnel, Spontaneous has a revamped website that was designed around the new company tagline, “Design By Effect”. The site, www.spon.com, gets to the heart of Spontaneous, which believes that true creative success is the result of a team effort, not out of any one individual.
