Intelligent Gadgets has introduced syncVUE,_billed as the world's first media synchronizer designed for SKYPETM and_answering the needs of anyone working in the video, film or audio production and post production markets. Editors, mixers, animators, producers, directors and advertising agencies will benefit from the synchronized shared viewing experience that syncVUE provides – whether users are separated by_cubicles, city blocks or continents.
syncVUE integrates a powerful media player with frame accurate collaborative_control enabled by the extremely popular SKYPET network with VOIP (voice_over internet protocol). Capable of playing any media file supported by_QuickTime (including Windows Media and MXF files via a separate plug-in from_TelestreamT), syncVUE leverages the powerful video/audio chat capabilities_of SKYPET with its own synchronized media playback capability. Participants_in a syncVUE session can add time-code-based text annotations (markers) that_are automatically propagated to all connected clients. Markers may contain_titles and extensive notes for a quick and easy "review and approval"_process. If desired, users can opt to create all their annotations_"offline", then once connected in a session, their annotations will be_instantly inherited by the others clients. When the session is complete, the_markers can be exported to popular non-linear editors such as Final Cut Pro_or other NLE systems.
"syncVUE is one of the most clever and useful tools to come down the pike in_years. Intelligent Gadgets has used their engineering savvy to thwart_geography and enhance collaboration. syncVUE is a must-have product." Mark_Baldwin, Editor – CSI Miami
"Because of its simplicity and low cost, syncVUE makes remote collaboration_accessible to editors who never would have considered it before. The first_time you share a sequence with someone you'll be hooked." Steve Cohen, ACE_- Ramblin' Rose, Fifteen Minutes
Michael Buday, President of Intelligent Gadgets and a highly respected_editor for over twenty years, states, "We've designed syncVUE to appeal to_many vertical markets, from the most demanding film/video editors or animators to smaller market wedding videographers and video enthusiasts. From my own experience working in London and Hollywood, I often_need to review a scene with a client who either does not, or can not, travel_to my location. In the past, I would output a file, and send it to them to_watch on their own time – or we would talk on the phone as we attempted to_watch it together. We expended enormous energy and time trying to_communicate where each person was within the piece of media. With syncVUE, there's no more guessing, we're always seeing exactly the same thing no_matter who is controlling the movie."
_"Now that I've seen syncVUE in action, I only have one question. Where was_this 6 months ago? syncVUE will change the way I do long distance projects_and will even speed up approvals from cross-town. Much better than just_sending a Quicktime, this tool encourages collaboration. – Eli Tishberg – Director / Editor – Phish Live in Brooklyn, Editor – VH1_Storytellers
