DUCK has signed Brooklyn-based art and animation studio Golden Lucky, bringing a high-end animation studio onto its ever-expanding roster. The studio, led by Creative Directors Saiman Chow and Sean Dougherty, is known for churning out creative projects for multiple applications with their unique variety of animation, which involves blending music, storytelling, character development, and the creation of sets and artwork from various materials.

"Golden Lucky is a dynamic idea factory with an admirable willingness to use any method or material available to make a scene happen," noted DUCK Executive Producer Mark Medernach. "Adding this creative talent to DUCK's roster redefines our animation capabilities and opens a whole new range of possibilities for our clients."

Saiman Chow’s work and profile have been featured in PRINT Magazine’s 30 under 30, Beautiful/Decay, Tokion Magazine, and Res10, among others. Chow previously worked in motion graphics at Brand New School and co-founded the design collective United Bread.

Sean Dougherty is an award-winning creative director whose trophy case includes recognitions from the Type Directors Club, AIGA, and The Art Directors Club. He worked as a designer, director, and art director at Brand New School for six years, including the studio’s earliest days in Venice and its expansion to a new facility in New York. His clients there have included MTV, Wieden + Kennedy, ESPN, Planters, American Express, and Fuel TV, among others. He began his career as co-founder of United Bread, along with Chow.

“While Golden Lucky established itself independently and enjoyed much success, there were considerable advantages to joining with DUCK,” stated Chow. “They have awesome resources, a great client list, and an outstanding team of professionals that we are really eager to begin working with.”
