Je Regarde Creeps in Time for Timber Timbre
Director Carlos de Carvalho Sets the Tone in the Band's Animated Music Video
Canadian band Timber Timbre, who some first heard during an episode of AMC’s Breaking Bad last season, is hard to categorize. Mika Posen, Simon Trottier and Taylor Kirk’s “music project” is informed by equal parts swampy blues and folksy simplicity. Trottier plays the autoharp and lapsteel in addition to the guitars and loops he and his bandmates also mix into most songs. Their latest album, Creep On Creepin’ On, was released in June.
Carlos de Carvalho, based in Lille, France, directs this video for the record’s “Do I Have Power.” He and production company Je Regarde finished it in three months. Luminescent bugs, a child’s curiosity and a sweetly creepy case of existential confrontation make for a delicious Halloween treat.
