Canon EOS C100: “Just C It!”

Director-DOP-editor-producer Sebastien Devaud shot this film for Canon to show its new EOS C100 in the best possible light. He worked with three C100 bodies and 12 EF lenses, recording compressed AVCHD to an SD card.

    Can’t wait to see this camera in person. But so many out of focus shots! Especially in the first 2 1/2 minutes. I’m not talking about the rack focus shots but shots that are simply out of focus.

    Amateurish. Doesn’t show off the camera in a bright light at all. A DSLR is just as comparable with this way of showing it off.

    Were they doing a fashion show expose, or travelog? No tech-specs, no detailed camera close-ups. Could have talked about lenses, filters, cloud transmission capabilities. First half was very soft, distracting out of focus imaging. Not a great marketing tool.
