Coney Island

The rides at New York's Coney Island opened on schedule yesterday, despite lingering devastation from Hurricane Sandy. As a coincidence, yesterday was also the birthday of silent-film comic Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. It's as good a time as any, then, to take a look at this silent short from 1917 depicting Arbuckle's eventful visit to Coney Island's Luna Park. (Buster Keaton tags along for good measure.) This is just the first 10 minutes; part two lives here.
