Software Now Sends Metadata to FCP 7, FCP X and Premiere Pro and Plays Back on Macbook Air

Red Giant has released public beta version 2 of its upcoming media prep and delivery software, Bulletproof. The company says the new version, which includes the product's final, locked-down user interface, reflects feature requests from users who have already been working with the first public beta.

Improved metadata options rank at the top of user requests and the updated beta software can now send all of your color, I/O and other metadata to FCP X (and FCP 7) and Premiere Pro as either XML or XMP.  You can also save color adjustments, keywords or whatever metadata you rely on most as presets and export color values as LUTs.

Those metadata support tweaks extend to PluralEyes, which Red Giant plans to fully integrate into BulletProof. You can now mark and send your imported clips in a bin setup that is easily read by PluralEyes, the audio/multi-camera video syncing software Red Giant acquired one year ago with other Singular Software tools.

The new beta plays back on the featherweight Macbook Air—or any computer with an Intel HD 4000 graphics card—a boon for location shooters who need to travel light.
