By the looks of this footage, Disney's villain-focused reboot of Sleeping Beauty, with Angelina Jolie in the title role, is inspired far less by the animated original than by the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings films. The director is Robert Stromberg, a VFX artist (Boardwalk Empire, 2012, Life of Pi) and production designer (Avatar, Alice in Wonderland) making his directorial debut.
