Matrox Adds Support for Edius 7.21
Matrox said its MXO2 LE and MXO2 Mini i/o devices for ingest, monitoring, and delivery of SD and HD video are now compatible with the Edius 7.21 NLE from Grass Valley.
"Opening our editing software up to support more hardware platforms like those from Matroxc is a strategic goal for Grass Valley," said Edius Product Manager Alex Kataoka.
The boxes connect to the NLE workstation via PCIe or ExpressCard/34 adapters. Matrox said Thunderbolt support for Windows is on the way.
The Matrox MXO2 Mini starts at $449, while the MXO2 LE starts at $995. Both devices are also available in MAX versions that accelerate video encoding by up to 5x in Adobe Media Encoder, the company said.
