Creates World’s Only Complete Solution for Ultra HD Blu-ray Authoring

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, SEPTEMBER 8, 2015, IBC, HALL 1, BOOTH#D71 Scenarist, LLC, the developer of Hollywood-standard professional Blu-ray Disc authoring systems based in Novato, California, announced today at the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) that it has completed a commercial agreement with ATEME to bundle theTITAN File multi-codec/format transcoding system with its Scenarist UHD Workgroup authoring system. The combination creates the world’s only complete solution for Ultra HD Blu-ray title creation. 

“The bundle of Scenarist UHD and ATEME TITAN sets the ‘gold standard’ for encoding and professional authoring for Ultra HD Blu-ray,” said Michel Artieres, CEO of ATEME located in Paris, France. “Scenarist is the proven leader in authoring solutions for Hollywood and we are delighted to partner with them to bring the ATEME TITAN encoder to the compression and authoring industry.” 

Scenarist UHD has been developed in conjunction with feedback from its industry focus group (UHDG) partners who have been using the system since March of this year. ATEME’s TITAN encoder has become the standard in cable head-end encoding for the 4K broadcast industry. ATEME joined the UHDG in June and has been providing early UHD encodes in High Dynamic Range (HDR) for the Ultra HD Blu-ray launch expected this fall.

The Scenarist UHD Workgroup will be available starting in Q4, 2015. Scenarist will be demonstrating the new Scenarist UHD Workgroup for Ultra HD Blu-ray at the IBC show from September 11 through September 15, 2015 in Amsterdam. ATEME TITAN File encoderdemonstrations will be held during IBC on stand 1.D71.
