L.A. based production company The Uprising Creative is pushing into virtual reality with the launch of VEHICLEvr, a new studio focusing on producing original and branded VR content and providing VR production services.

"We are creating a home for our directors, producers, makers, and creative partners to explore and create VR content largely unencumbered by deadlines and clients," said Jeff Nicholas, managing director and head of development for VEHICLEvr.

The new company already has projects in the pipeline, based on its work on such VR shows as a Fort Minor music video directed by Nicholas (pictured, above) as well as jobs for CBS Interactive and VR technology platform Wevr. Directors represented by VEHICLEvr include Nicholas, Darren Craig, Jonathan Craven, Justin Hantz, Dan Huiting and Alexander Thompson. The company will be represented by UTA for original content, by Tommy LaBuda Representation for music videos, and by Resource for branded content.
