The Society of Camera Operators (SOC) has released nominees in for its Camera Operator of the Year award in film and television categories. In addition, it said Cartoni will receive the SOC's 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award for Technical Achievement for the Lambda fluid head. 

"This technology is in use on the majority of productions," said SOC Technology Committee chair Eric Fletcher in a prepared statement. "The Lambda engineering is superb, supporting the camera operator with ease of use, quality of design and producing superior on-screen results."
