New Facility Will Offer Services in Partnership with NYC's Sixteen19, LA's Vortechs

Technicolor veterans Gareth Cook and Clifton Dugan have opened The Foundation, a new 5,700-square-foot post house in Burbank that's operating in partnership with New York-based Sixteen19 and LA facility Vortechs.

Cook is managing partner and senior colorist for The Foundation; Dugan is managing partner and head of business development. Other hires include Director of Engineering John Stevens and Technical Director Dan Aguilar. "The Foundation is bringing back the boutique facility in a new and more powerful way," said Cook in a prepared statement.

The Foundation's offerings include offline rentals, dailies, online editing, color-correction, VFX, titling and delivery for broadcast, OTT, music videos, commercials and feature film. Clients include ABC's The Real O'Neals, the CW's iZombie, and Fox's Shots Fired, the company said.

Sixteen19 and Vortechs will provide "supporting services" to The Foundation, and vice versa, according to the companies. "The Foundation will help us provide our clients with the additional services they have been asking for," said Vortechs Managing Partner Jim Longeretta in a statement.
