Pixar was once largely averse to sequels. Between 1995 and 2009, the animation studio kicked out 90% original product, making an exception only for a follow-up to Toy Story. Since then, a switch has been flipped — Pixar’s 10-title slate starting in 2010 included only four originals hidden among the preponderance of franchise films. That bout of sequelitis isn’t going away anytime soon, either, with Toy Story 4 on tap in 2019. Well, however you feel about Hollywood studios repeating themselves and increasingly lacking new ideas, you may as well watch the teaser. Maybe they’ve added some new characters this time around.
