Add one more YouTube viewing clip to your playlist of cool things people are doing with video today and take a look at Diminished Reality. While not quite as cool as MovieReshaper, it does claim to remove items from live video in real time. It’s not entirely perfect (see 35 seconds into the video) but it is a nice achievement to be able to do it as well as it does in this demo. Kind of like Photoshop’s Content Aware Fill for live video. Watch closely during the bathroom section: you can still see the object in the mirror but it’s gone from the counter. Is there anything the brainiacs at universities can’t do for our video?
