Grass Valley Announces EDIUS 4.5 Upgrade

Post your comments below

The user interface inside Grass Valley's EDIUS 4.5 NLE has a whole new look. With an enlarged clips windows and timeline view, a blue highlight cursor and a rich palette of multicolored icons (so you can tell them apart more easily), this upgrade will give EDIUS editors a much more visually intuitive way to cut video.

Like the previous version, 4.0, you can mix formats on the timeline, covert between HD, SD, aspect ratios and various frame rates, and apply HD/SD effects, keyers and transitions, all in real time. The new version, however, now supports full 1080p resolutions at 24, 25, and 30 frames per second, DVCPRO HD 720p, AVC-Intra and JPEG2000, as well as import/export of AAF and GXF.

EDIUS 4.5 is a free upgrade for current owners of EDIUS 4.0.
