In a move that's been rumoured for months, Apple has apparently purchased the assets of Silicon Color, the San Diego-based company behind the FinalTouch line-up of color-finishing products for the Mac. Apple itself hasn't released any information on the purchase, but a headline at the top of the Silicon Color Web site home page broke the news yesterday.
Update: An Apple spokesperson confirms the news, describing the Silicon Color announcement as an "official statement."
