Focus Enhancements announced a new stand-alone HD video switcher, the HX1. The switcher has active loop-through on all inputs, as well as three dual HD-SDI outputs for program, preview and video effects monitoring. Its adjustable effects include background and border color, a frame store on each channel, and aspect ratio and position attributes for circles and square wipes. The HX-1 runs on 1080i 50/60 operation with a DC12V XLR power input. Available now. $7,995.
