A new jib from j michael media, LLC, the Type-S Jib, is the first in the company’s Type-S Series product line. The Type-S Jib is a tripod-mounted compact jib arm that lets the operator boom the camera from ground level to maximum height and effortlessly pan the arm 360°. Developed and tested in the production field, the Type-S Jib was designed for productions shot with HDV, DV and film cameras. According to the company, the jib can be assembled in 60 seconds and easily adjusted. The product can tilt smoothly while booming in any direction without jerks. It weighs 19 lbs. (39 lbs. including the custom case), has a camera weight capacity of 12 lbs. or less, and can extend from 3 to 12 feet without requiring additional tools or parts. $2,249.
