we need to apply this same technology to telecine. I know there are already tapeless recording devices that allow for 422, and are more cost affective then renting a price deck. can someone please get this going!

You seem to overlook the most ubiquitous media today SDHC which currently operates 8GB in more devices than any mentioned and at a price that is a fraction of P-2.

SDHC is Going to 16GB this year, so look forward to HD recorders using this format.
