Creating Character Animation Tip:
When creating the Cavedudez animated character in Flash, we always begin by drawing the different body parts that make up the character in one layer. We then convert each object to symbols (reusable assets) and name them according to their actual description. Once we're done, we then need to take the collection of symbols and place each object on their own layer so that we can animate the movements of each body part. We also want to label that layer to match the description of the particular symbol. Here's an easy way to accomplish that task.
1. Select all your symbols on that layer (Ctrl+A)
2. Right click or hold down the Ctrl Key and click anywhere on your character.
3. This will bring up a context menu. Select Distribute to Layer.
This takes each symbol and places them on their own layer. But that's not all. It also labels that layer accordingly to that particular symbol name, saving you time to create more
