Introduces New CEO, Company Name, Organizational Structure, Combined Product Lines and Expertise Across Industries to Position Company for Expanded Focus

The Board of Directors of Digital Vision, leading manufacturers of image enhancement and mastering systems for film and television post production, have finalized the acquisition of Image Systems, completing a process that began earlier this year. Image Systems is a major player in motion analysis and film scanning within the archive, restoration, defence and automotive industries. The acquisition increases Digital Vision's stronghold in the post and restoration markets, and creates new opportunities for growth in the automotive and military markets serviced by Image Systems. The joining of company efforts ensures the synergies across product, channel and Research-Development, while creating efficiencies that support cost savings and increase profitability.
Furthermore, Digital Vision and Image Systems will now be known as Image Systems, and the expanded company will consist of three business units: Media, Motion and Defence. The name change and organizational structure reinforce the company’s focus on developing and selling solutions in multiple, global markets based on powerful image processing and motion analysis products and expertise. The Nucoda and Phoenix product lines will continue, as will the Golden Eye Scanners as part of the Media Business Unit. The corporate rebranding will be unveiled at NAB in Las Vegas on April 11, 2011.

On April 1st, 2011, Mikael Jacobsson officially stepped in as CEO. Mr. Jacobsson, the second largest shareholder in Image Systems, follows current Digital Vision CEO Bengt Broman in the role. The move, announced when the acquisition began in December 2010, gives Mr. Jacobsson oversight of all business units of the new company. He has played a leading role in developing Image Systems and has extensive experience in senior operational positions in global software companies and in stock-listed companies and venture capital. A full Q&A from Mr. Jacobsson is available for review.

Martin Bennett, currently UK/Managing Director & VP Worldwide Marketing of Digital Vision, will head the Media and Entertainment Business Unit for the company. Bennett joined Digital Vision in 2008, after a decade-long stint at Avid where he was the Director Worldwide Professional Segment Marketing amongst other senior roles.
