Savant Film has signed renowned Director/DP Carolyn Chen for exclusive US spot representation. Her client list includes Nike, Verizon, Panasonic, GMC, AT&T, Nissan, Merck, Bank Of America, Johnson and Johnson, P&G, and Revlon. Chen comes over from Believe Media.
A recipient of the highly coveted Kodak Vision Award, and previously recognized among Variety's "10 Cinematographers To Watch", among other honors, Chen's powerful imagery and beautiful film continue to set her apart in the commercials world.
Chen's early career as a cinematographer helped her develop a strong visual sense and her ease around the camera contributes first-hand to intimate, honest performances and simple, nuanced storytelling.
According to Chen, her biggest challenge as an artist is "learning to cultivate a point of view through the lens." Her impressive body of work reflects an ability to tell special stories about everyday people, capturing moments of truth and getting people to connect to the camera with unique candidness.
