New York-based directorial collective, HUSH adds uber-talented Spanish designer, illustrator, and artist Laura Alejo to its roster. Fresh from Barcelona, Spain, Laura has extensive experience in commercial and broadcast design and has won numerous international awards as an individual as well as with her previous collective, Studio Copyright in Barcelona. Alejo is founding member of Studio Copyright and a major contributor to Copyright Magazine, a leading design publication in Spain utilized by both students and professionals to stay aware of latest design trends and innovations. Her work has also appeared in a variety of commercial publications including: Enser Magazine, Pupu Magazine, Visual Magazine, Experimenta Magazine and Belio Magazine. Furthermore, Laura has developed multimedia animations for MTV Italy, Paramount Comedy, Canal+ and several prestigious art festivals throughout Europe. With degrees in both graphic and product design, Laura quickly became recognized in Europe and America for her distinctive and wide-ranging work. Laura has been invited to exhibit her work at prestigious exhibitions such as: the OFFF Festival in Barcelona, the Duck Fever Show in Mercado Gallery in Barcelona, the Slipmad Exhibition, the Nike Bambastic Exhibition at the Trust Nobody Gallery, the Decibelio Festival, the Liguaduras Festival, the Renovated Energies Exposition sponsored by Belio Magazine, among others. Her work has also been exhibited in publications highlighting the work of top, young designers from around the world such as: Enter Spanish Creativity, a book publicizing the works of top Spanish graphic artists, and Design + Ideas, a book that displays the designs of 90 top graphic artists from around the world.
