‘ Award-winning editor Karama Horne has joined the editorial staff at Fluid (New York). Horne brings over 12 years of experience in post-production with her into the editing suite. Her extensive body of work includes commercials for Revlon, Marshalls, Ford, Herbal Essences, L’Oreal and Verizon, and for agencies such as BBDO, McCann Erickson, J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy, Draft/FCB and the Kaplan Thaler Group.
Karama brings a combination of creative passion and technical mastery to her craft, which has often featured detailed special effects and compositing. In her work, she frequently serves as a link between the editing and graphics worlds. “In this field, creativity is a collaboration between several people. It’s my job to be a conduit as well as a tailor for that creativity,” says Karama. Executive Producer/Partner Marc Schwartz adds, “Karama is an amazing addition to our roster. Clients love her energy, integrity and that she gives so much of herself to every project.”

Karama received her BS Degree in Radio/TV/Film at Northwestern University, and began her career in commercial post-production as an online assistant at Chicago’s Optimus. She then returned to her native New York to join Crew Cuts. Prior to joining Fluid she was a senior staff editor at Blue Rock.

Karama Horne has joined the editorial division of FLUID, which includes: Editors Greg Letson, Scott Philbrook, John Mallerman and Robin Burchill; and Designer/Graphic Artist Wes Waldron.

She is currently completing her first project at Fluid, for the US Marines.
