Zacuto, a leading provider of HD video cameras and accessories is announcing the release of their new
universal rod adapter dubbed ‘Jeep’. Jeep bridges the gap between 15mm lightweight (60mm spacing), 15mm studio (100mm spacing, Arri rods) and 19mm studio (104mm spacing) rod systems. This versatile tool expands the functionality of your equipment by allowing you to mix and match gear that was intended for different size rod systems.
“The Jeep can retrofit Zacuto Z-LWS to have all three rod choices available and adjustable on a standard 2/3" style ENG camera” says Zacuto’s Steve Weiss. “It can also retrofit the front of a Zacuto baseplate with a new part called a Grill Adapter to have all three rod choices off of the front of the baseplate, while still having counterbalance rods off the back in standard 15mm lightweight for DoubleMounts or Lunchboxes.”
As one of two dozen new products showcased by Zacuto at this year’s NAB show JEEP has already caught the attention of industry insiders and is very hot with RED camera users.
