Film’s not dead – Arri announced a brand-new entrant in its Super 16 camera line-up at NAB this week with the introduction of the ARRIFLEX 416. The new camera weighs just over 12 pounds, 25 percent less than the Arriflex 16 SR3 Advanced, the company said, and is very quiet – less than 20 dbA. It runs at speeds from 1 to 75 fps, and its shutter can be adjusted from 45 to 180 degrees.
