Red Giant announced the schedule for a number of its plug-in releases today.
- Next week, three plug-ins, 3D Stroke, Shine and Starshow, previously only available for After Effects, will be released for Final Cut Pro, Motion, Premiere Pro and Avid. All will support floating point capability and are available for $99 each.
- Magic Bullet Looks is scheduled for delivery in August. (Check out our Exclusive Demo of Looks here.) Another thing of note is that Looks will be free to demo, test and use, with purchase only required in order to render it. This means anyone can create looks for your color correction, save then and pass them off to their editor, colorist, producer, in order to give them an idea of the look they are trying to achieve. Later this year Red Giant will launch a user site for Looks users to share custom looks they have created. No price has yet been set.
- Also in August Red Giant will release Instant HD v1.0 for upconverting footage to HD. It’s imaging analysis looks at nine fields of vieo and selects the proper pixel for each frame for optimal quality. It will be available for $399.
- Then in September Red Giant plans to release Trapcode Form (formerly codenamed Flux). Form works similar to Particular but with shapes and surfaces instead of particles. No price has been set.
