They are not exactly Christmas stocking stuffers, but—as high-definition routers go—Sigma’s economical new Dagger series routers are very compact and affordable. Ranging from 8x8 to 32x32 configurations that fit in a single modular frame, the Sigma Dagger Series enables users to route high- and standard-definition video along with AES and analog audio.

The Dagger series design enables multiple layers of compact audio and video routers to be combined in the same space-efficient frame, facilitating a variety of switching options for any size facility. The modules provide a wide variety of signal formats—high quality HD-SDI multi-format, SD-SDI, and AES.

All HD/SDI and SDI routers include input equalization and reclocking of all outputs. In addition to newest 32x32 HD/SDI configuration, the product family includes a 16 X 16 HD/SDI Router, 16 X 2 HD/SDI Router, 8 X 8 HD/SDI router, 16 X 16 SDI router, and a 16 X 16 AES Digital Audio Router. Each system comes with a compatible control panel, and is, depending on modules included, either 1RU or 2RU in size.

The routers can be controlled via local control panel or via RS-232/422 port on a system controller. Each can operate as a standalone router or as part of a Sigma 2100 switching system.
