By Automatically Tracking Every Pixel, ReelSmart Motion Blur Applies More Natural-Looking Motion Blur

RE:Vision Effects has released an update to it ReelSmart Motion Blur v4 for Autodesk Sparks. The plug-in automatically adds more natural-looking motion blur to a sequence. The update fixes bugs to version 4, which introduced support for Smoke on the Mac, floating licensing and increased speed.
RE:Vision Effect’s tracking technology is at the heart of ReelSmart Motion Blur, so there is no handwork involved. Users can add as little or as much blurring as they need and even remove motion blur. Users can also create very interesting blur effects in a sequence by using the motion from another. Used by such facilities at Psyop for its CG spot work and Comen VFX in the Oscar-nominated film The Fighter, ReelSmart Motion Blur is also compatible with the following host systems:

• After Effects, Combustion, Premiere Pro and Boris Red
• Avid
• Fusion and Vision
• Final Cut Pro, Express and Motion
• OFX plug-ins for Nuke, Maya, 3ds Max and Scratch
• Shake
• Softimage

The node-locked RSMB version of ReelSmart Motion Blur 4.0.2 is $189.95. The floating license version is $284.93. Render-only burn pricing is also available. For more information, visit http://www.revisionfx.com/.
