GenArts has released a new version of its Sapphire plug-ins for Apple FXPlug products, including Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express and Motion. The suite features more than 200 effects— including newer effects such as FilmDamage, ZDefocus, Cartoon and BleachBypass— native support for FCP, Final Cut Express and Motion, and images that are resolution independent and fully anti-aliased. Effects are categorized by Generators, Filters and Transitions and take advantage of multi-processor support for faster rendering. FxPlug and After Effects versions of Sapphire can be used together inside Final Cut Pro. Existing customers with Sapphire v1 for After Effects can upgrade for $599 and $199, respectively.
