New E Series P2 Focuses on Value

Post your comments below

Though "E" has had many meanings in product naming over the past few years, it can only stand for one thing today: economy, stupid. Panasonic launched a new economical line of P2 cards at NAB, the E Series, with 16GB, 32GB and, coming later this summer, 64GB storage capacities. The only downside to these less expensive versions of the company’s P2 media is they do have a shelf life. But typical daily use should get you through five years before you need to replace them. If you use them once a week, that lifespan increases. All but the 64GB cards are available now. $420 (16GB), $625 (32GB) and $998 (64GB). www.panasonic.com
