Owners of Sony’s PMW-EX3 XDCAM can now get in on the cinematic action with the release of the P+S Technik Pro35 lens adapter with a newly designed relay lens that projects a full 35mm image onto the camcorder’s ½-inch CCDs. The Pro35 is prized by videographers because, coupled with a 35mm lens, it offers nearly the same depth of field, focus, and angle of view as a 35mm camera.
The design is similar enough to the company’s image converter for 2/3-inch chips that all accessories for the other Pro35 units are compatible with the EX3 version. The kit ships with the Pro35 ½-inch digital image converter, a support kit, a bridge, and two handles with handle extensions.
