RAIDON is proud to announce the InTANK iS2880 8-bay SAS/SATA JBOD internal storage solution. The InTANK iS2880 provides consistent performance, with less volume occupied for system integrators. Two types of connectivity are offered delivering the flexibility of upgrading to a RAID system with SAS or SATA RAID depending on the users’ demands. The compact size of the InTANK iS2880 series fits into the same space that would occupy two CD-ROM bays allowing you have eight 2.5-inch 15mm SATA hard drives tray modules that are accepting of many popular consumer or enterprise SATA 2.5-inch hard drives.
Using eight 2.5” SATA hard drives under JBOD mode allows for capacities up to 8TB, with less power consumption and space than the typical 3.5” SATA hard drive. Users requiring RAID protection rather than JBOD can simply add an extra SATA or SAS RAID card to get achieve that upgrade.
Two integrated 6cm fans keep your drives cool and the aluminum case helps to dissipate heat. The product offers intuitive feedback, an alarm will sound if you encounter a failed fan, an overheat issue, or a failed drive; LED indicator lights will also indicate drive status. The aluminum trays are high temperature resistant and lock into place keeping the hard drives firmly secured in place.
The InTANK iS2880 series is available with two different host interfaces; the iS2880-8S-S2D is two port-multiplier SATA ports or the S2880-8S-U5D with two mini-SAS ports for performance.
