OConnor, a Vitec Group brand, has announced an upgrade to its Ultimate 2575 Fluid Head, the new "D" model. Improvements include ergonomic changes to controls and more pan bar mounting points. The 2575D retains the counterbalance specifications and other characteristics that contributed to the popularity of its predecessor, the "C". The relocation of all controls on the platform to the operator’s side (left) was designed to provide easier adjustment. The upgraded fluid head’s platform now also features dual platform scales, one on each side, and four handle rosettes to allow operation from either side of the head as well as front or back handle mounting. The 2575D weighs the same 22.9 lbs. (10.4 kg) as its predecessor, carrying the same 0-87 lbs. (39.5 kg) payload. Available now. $11,999 (MSRP). www.ocon.com
