StudioDaily launched a new craft-based webinar series that demonstrates how a variety of specialized facilities from across the U.S. and Canada handle the art of visual effects, animation, production, broadcast graphics, and editorial while they grow their businesses. The first part of the series was held on September 30 with “The Business of VFX.” This Webinar is archived and can still be viewed online. Part Two, “The Business of Animation,” will occur live at 1 p.m. EST, November 19.

Each person who attends the Business of Animation Webinar will receive a free copy of Digieffects's Simulate: Camera plug-in, value $99 (Click here for more information on Simulate: Camera). Digieffects Simulate: Camera simulates film degradation/contamination, camera destabilization and overexposure effects.

In addition, each attendee will receive 50 percent off any single ClassOnDemand training product available in the StudioDaily Store.

Sign up now, space is limited.

“After our well-attended webinar series on Red workflows, we wanted to turn the focus to the primary issues facing VFX and animation facilities as they work to stay competitive while facing a challenging economy,” said StudioDaily.com Editor-in-Chief Matt Armstrong. “Attendees are going to learn a lot about how some of the best companies in the business are dealing with tough decisions related to business, technology, and personnel.”

Confirmed panelists for “The Business of Animation” include Monica Blackburn, executive producer, Syndrome (Los Angeles), Harold Moss, creative director/managing partner, FlickerLab (New York), Marc Dole, CEO/executive producer, Hatchling Studios (Portsmouth, NH), and Sean Henry, executive Producer, and Wayne Brejcha, creative director, Calabash Animation, Inc. “The Business of Animation” will be moderated by Studio/monthly magazine Editor-in-Chief Beth Marchant and takes place Wednesday, November 19, at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. ET.

Panelists for “The Business of VFX” included Damijan Saccio, owner, UVPHACTORY (New York); Ken Zorniak, COO/co-founder, Frantic Films (Winnipeg, Manitoba); John Gross, co-founder/VFX supervisor, Eden FX (Los Angeles); Camille Geier, COO, Rhinofx; and Jason Mayo, partner/managing director, Click 3X. Each webinar will feature presentations from every panelist followed by a live question-and-answer session with attendees. Registration costs $55 for one webinar, or $95 for both. 1.
I am interested in attending the webinar tomorrow, but I have two question. My browser check up fine using the "System Test", will I be okay even though I am on a mac. The fine print on the sign up page says I need to be on a windows platform using IE 6.0. Question 2, if I pay for both seminars in the series now, will I be able to view the archived webinar that I missed? Thank you.

A Mac platform is fine. You just need to use Firefox, or IE. Safari is not supported.
Both Webinars will be archived for a year after the event. Feel free to contact me with any further questions. marmstrong@accessintel.com
