FOR-A has introduced a 1.5 M/E version of its VPS-700 GINGA switcher. The new model, the VPS-715, features a Frame Synchronizer for every input, up to 16 SD inputs and outputs, six keyers, and six channels of 3D DVE, all accessible in a large, user-friendly control panel. New to this version is the VPS-70FR Flash Recorder Option that will give you 120 seconds of uncompressed video recording on two channels (Key/Fill) and simultaneous playback for video insert, CG wipe or slow-motion playback. If you want to be able to control playback manually, there’s a handy Fader link. Optional 2D DVE channels can also be added in every input. The VPS-715 comes with a total of six key layers; four M/E keyers for linear, luminance, chroma (optional) with edge/shadow generation and key mask functions; and two downstream serial keyers (DSKs).
