Echolab has introduced its OvationMD multi-definition video switcher. The HD-ready OvationMD series supports SD video formats and simplifies the transition to HD production. Each switcher in the OvationMD product line offers the same functionality as Echolab’s Opera series, with full-function keyers on each M/E, downstream keyers, frame buffers, frame synchronizers and options for partner product control.
The series also includes internal analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion, up/down/cross conversion, frame synchronizers and frame buffers. Available early next year. Starting at $55,000. www.echolab.com.
