With the increase of commercial and film projects being shot in HD, there is a growing need for more specialized lenses for such cameras as the Sony F23 and F900R, and the Panasonic VariCam and HPX3000. Abel Cine Tech and Wolfgang Roessel of Munich-based CPT have partnered to create HD Scope, the industry’s first Boroscope/Snorkel Lens System designed specifically for 2/3-inch B4 mount HD cameras. Designed and manufactured in Germany by the makers of the T-Rex lens system, the HD Scope is brings all the benefits of a 35 mm T-Rex to users of HD cameras with 2/3-inch CCD imagers. Features include a fast T4 stop and a front head that pans 360° while maintaining the horizon, ideal for tabletop work, tight spaces, unusual angles and other effects shots. $850/day (rental); contact Abel Cine Tech for purchase price.
