A show-and-tell discussion of the latest lenses, tripods, lens gears and rigs from ARRI, Chrosziel, Glidecam, ikam, Redrock, and others aimed at improving workflow during HDSLR shoots. We'll hear about the pros and cons of specific gear choices and workarounds from filmmakers and technology specialists with deep experience and also talk to those who show you how to get great imagery right out of the kit. And if you’re frustrated with HDSLR workflows, we'll discuss new alternatives to HDSLR cameras, including the Panasonic AF100 and Sony’s newest camera, the Super 35 NXCAM, a compelling HDSLR alternative in the form factor of a lightweight video camera that shoots full HD quick and fast motion, features two-channel audio and records to SD and Sony memory cards.
You'll learn about ...
• Add-ons that simplify and speed up your workflow
• Challenges and advantages of certain types of lenses and rigs compared with others
• When and where you can get away with shooting with kit gear
• Options beyond HDSLR cameras that offer similar low-light sensitive and shallow DOF results for comparable prices
