Tektronix announces a new value HD waveform monitor and rasterizer, the WVR5000, which supports both SD and high definition (HD). It operates on a standard 12v battery and is designed for field deployment with an LED backlit display. The WVR5000 uses a similar interface to the WFM7120, with 16 channels of embedded audio support and one AES audio input. The form factor is 3RU and ½ rack width; 1RU and ½ rack width for the rasterizer. Both WFM models are packaged in short depth enclosures, enabling them to fit into nearly any equipment rack of an outside broadcast van or truck. Now available for order. $6,750.
