The 2RU-sized Matrox MXO2 Rack is a new version of the Matrox MXO2 I/O device for the Mac that is designed for broadcast news operations, OB vans, and other environments where equipment must be rackmounted. The MXO2 product line is designed to streamline the editing workflow with Apple Final Cut Studio on Mac Pros, MacBook Pros & Xserve, providing broadcast-quality input/output, monitoring, and up/down/cross conversion (with support for XDCAM, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX, and P2 without transcoding). Version 1.3 of the MXO2 software is also now available (free to registered MXO2 users). Features of the new update include scaling on input for capture (upscale, downscale and cross-convert capture conversions to different formats), and the capture and playback of digital closed captioning on the SDI input and output of the MXO2 device.
