In this video tutorial, Kevin P. McAuliffe, a senior editor at MIJO in Toronto, shows you how to clean up the noise that comes from downloading and importing already compressed video clips from stock video sources online. MacAuliffe uses Avid Media Composer and Boris Continuum Complete's Noise Reduction filter to get the job done.

I enjoy your posts, and was looking forward to watching the tutorial on reducing compression noise, but would love it if you had a version encoded for the iPad or a link to a YouTube/Vimeo version.

Thanks for the note, John. We are working with our video server provider, Ooyala, to enable iPad/iPhone automatic detection, which will automatically switch the standard Flash player to an HTML5-encoded player on your iPad.

Is there a reason I cannot play the video in Firefox 3.6.17??
All I see is a black window and no controls to play video.
