As a complement to my post a few days ago about Lots of Photoshop Tutorials I think it’s always work pointing out the immensely useful site Photoshop for Video. The site’s creator Richard Harrington is full of great Photoshop information that is geared toward the non-linear video editor. As video professionals we don’t use many of Photoshop’s print and web based tools then this type focused resource is great. While Adobe did add some more video focused features to the CS3 release (pdf link to Adobe’s document about the features), it’s especially handy to have a real Photoshop guru like Richard around to dig into the app and really understand how it can be optimally used for video post production. And even better that he shares it with is all via the web. The site contains a blog, Podcast, tips, tutorials, training, links and updates. If you are an editor who uses Photoshop then bookmark Richard’s site. And if you are an editor who doesn’t use Photoshop … then good luck getting along without it.
