Perceptive Pixel 82-inch Pro-Cap Display

Not at SIGGRAPH in Vancouver? Wish you were? You won’t be able to get hands-on with the cool gear on the show floor, but at least you can see what some of the buzz is about from the comfort of your desk chair. Here’s a look at what NVIDIA and Perceptive Pixel are calling the largest projected-capacitive (pro-cap) LCD display in the world — an 82-inch multi-touch screen. NVIDIA has been using GPU acceleration to push the boundaries of what’s possible to control in real-time via multitouch displays, and Perceptive Pixel has really taken the concept to new heights. The show demo features Storyboard, a software application aimed at broadcast and government customers who need to building interactive stories from a variety of assets, including video and 3D visualizations, right on screen. Take a look.
