When it comes to training for Final Cut Pro X, you can find material that runs from a few minutes for free up to hours of material for hundreds of dollars. But when it comes to the user manual for FCPX, we have been limited to Apple’s rather sparse help menu or the official online version. If you really want an offline version you can go through this rather complex hack to move it offline (I haven’t seen an official Apple PDF version). What you should do instead is check out the FCP X – How It Works graphical user manual (found by fcp.co) and spend $2 to get your very own 62-page manual for FCPX. I grabbed a copy to keep on my iPad. It covers all the basic stuff that is FCPX (the website shows an advanced version coming soon) in an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand, picture-heavy way. It’s a steal at $2, so whenever I get a question about using FCPX this will probably be the first place I’ll point people.

You say you don’t like PDF? Print it after you download it, or just wait until the end of the month for a $15 printed version to be available from Amazon. Samples after the jump

These are just two samples of from the FCP X – How It Works graphical user manual.
