Projectiondesign, known for its high-resolution projectors for post production, scientific simulation and virtual reality attractions, is now shipping the ultra-high resolution F35 AS3D single-chip DLP projector that it announced at InfoComm. The WUXGA Active Stereo 3D projector features newly developed dual-bandwidth imaging, which essentially doubles the image processing speeds without any compression. The projector, based on the company’s F35 WQXGA projector, delivers fully uncompressed stereo images but also lets users switch back and forth between 3D and 2D.
The 7,500 ANSI-lumen projector can accurately display approximately one billion colors, accurately calibrated through projectiondesign’s RealColor management technology. The company says it also developed several custom projection lenses for the new F35 to give its customers a number of configuration options.

Simulation users can manually adjust smear reduction for even crisper images when running high-speed video that tends to introduce artifacts.

Projectiondesign, which developed the first single-chip SXGA DLP projector nearly ten years ago, is backing up the F35 AS3D with its standard five-year warranty with full 24/7 technical support. The projector also is programmed to work with projectiondesign’s ProNet asset management software that controls and monitors an unlimited number of projectors at one location or across multiple sites.
